Fiberi’s social responsibility

We run our business in line with the philosophy of circular economy. Our approach is based on a life cycle, whose main objective lies in reduction of the effect of products and services on the environment.

The company implements and plans to enhance the following activities at certain stages of the value chain:

Sourcing of materials:

– we use recycled materials – a part of the nonwoven fabrics that we use is manufactured from fibres of cuttings from our production.
– we use ecological materials – a part of the nonwoven fabrics that we use is manufactured from polyester fibres obtained from reprocessing of used PET bottles.

Administration and production:

– we produce green energy – we have an ‘on-grid’ photovoltaic system designed to produce alternating current of 10 kW.
– we save energy – we use LED lighting. We have reduced the electricity consumption drawn by lighting within the company by 2/3.

Waste:

We do not generate waste products.
1. We process production cuttings
– for nonwoven fabric for re-use
– we provide foam cuttings to a company that processes them into insulation foam.
2. We process plastic waste for a plastic sleeve to be used in operating activities.

Logistics:

1. We use the transport of our products for receipt of recycled cardboard boxes.
2. We use the existing processes of receipt/delivery of goods for simultaneous transport of waste for reprocessing.

We have a comprehensive Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy developed on the basis of ISO 26000 – ‘Guidance on social responsibility’ which addresses all key areas of our business.
